I can’t be the only one out there that’s a little confused about the home buyer tax credit so I decided to do a little research. The tax credit signed by Obama applies to home purchases made on January 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010. As long as a binding sales contract is signed by April, 30, 2010, the buyer(s) have until June 30, 2010 to qualify for the tax credit.
Important Home Buyer Tax Credit Facts:
French luxury group, PPR, which controls Alexander McQueen through its Gucci Group, announced earlier today that the company will continue to build on the label as a tribute to the late Lee McQueen. Like a master artist whose pieces soar in value after his death, sales have increased 1,400% at the Alexander McQueen label.

The store is aggressively clearing out all of its sale inventory to make room for spring and summer home decor. In the past, I’ve been able to find great items including display furniture, bedding, mirrors and candles marked with steep discounts. May I recommend this red lacquered jewelry box marked down to $39.99 from $79?
Happy early Valentine’s Day!
I went through a phase not too long again where I was obsessed with Pinkberry. I would eat it almost every day. Meet my friends at one of the modernist shops. Have dessert there after dinner. Sometimes I would even order a second round after I devoured my first. And I even attempted to make my own Pinkberry Froyo at home with my icecream maker. I’m glad to say I have that all under control now.
Niecy Nash worked with celebrity organizer, Linda Cooper-Smith to organize Lindsay’s out-of-control clutter. Take a look at Part 1 of the big reveal here:
UPDATE*** – McQueen’s McQ presentation tonight at New York Fashion Week has been canceled.
No! NO! NOO! The fashion industry is in complete shock now. Earliest this morning, Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home. While too early to confirm cause of dead, some publications are already reporting that it was a suicide. This is truly devastating. His McQ line is scheduled to be shown later this afternoon Fashion Week in Bryant Park.

Perusing through sample sales and clearance sales, one can easily pick up high quality designer goods for pennies on the dollar. The temptations are high but living in New York City where living spaces can easily fetch for upwards of $1,000 psf, it’s critical to know when to say no. Know your limits – both for your wallet and your closet. If it’s not going to fit in your closet – don’t get it. If you’re not going to wear it within the next 30 days – don’t get it. Remember, it’s much easier to hoard stacks of money than stacks and stacks of clothes and boxes and boxes of shoes. Take a look at this Lindsay Lohan interview with The Insider; it just might scare you straight.:
One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. This proverb can be applied to so many things – girlfriends, furniture, jobs – and now – bags.
Marc Jacobs has designed a new bag for Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 – the Raindrop Besace. It’s made of a waterproof leather material and… well…resembles a trash bag. The cross-body natural Vachetta strap is adjustable but I’m not sure if you will love the bag long enough to see it patina. The bag will set you back $1,960. If you must have it, the EURO has been beat up pretty bad recently (currently $1.3668). It might be time to plan that trip to Paris.
Love it or hate it?
